| REALISTIC WATERCOLORS

Watercolor Originals

Watercolor is an "alive" medium. There is something about an original painting that makes it exciting to look at. Perhaps the brilliance of the colors, or the texture of the paper...but the original has something that sets it apart. It is, after all, one of a kind.

For the artists reading this, I paint on Arches 140 lb watercolor paper, using mostly American Journey and Winsor & Newtoon watercolors. The colors I use most of are: Joe's Blue, Payne's Gray, Vandyke Brown, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green, Cadmium Yellow Light, and for that brilliant red that you see in the cars I use Red Hot Momma by American Journey.

I paint from photographs that I have taken and work hard at getting the details.
