Home Portraits...what a great gift!

This is the reference photograph from which the home portrait on the right was painted.
How About Mom & Dad?
Do you have a photograph of mom or dad's childhood home or their cottage? A home portrait for a parent would bring back a flood of memories...a great anniversary gift. This would also make a great gift for a new homeowner.

Would you like to have an attractive original watercolor portrait of your home or the home you used to live in? How about your summer home or cottage? What a great way to relive and enjoy the memories of that "special place." A portrait of the home you grew up in would make a very special gift for someone in your family.
If you've viewed some of the watercolors on my web page you know that you will receive a high-quality painting.
Send me a few 4" x 6" or larger photographs of your home and I can create a one-of-a-kind painting ready to frame. The more photos the better, just mark your favorites. You can mail the photo, or, if it's in digital form, you can burn it on a cd and mail it. (Email attachments can work if they are of high enough quality.)
Along with your payment, (check or money order) be sure to include your name, address, phone number and email address. I will contact you when I get the pictures. Your painting will created on high quality Arches watercolor paper. It will take 2-3 weeks to complete the painting.
BONUS Every home painting purchased will include 4 notecards featuring the watercolor of the home.

Tips on taking photos of your home...
- Take the picture on a bright overcast or sunny day. Avoid shooting the home in all shadows.
-Shoot from an angle rather than straight on. Take some pictures that include the surroundings and some close ups as well.
-Take a variety of pictures and indicate your favorites. Some pictures work better than others to create a painting and it's helpful for me to have a few to choose from.
- Try to move vehicles out of the way and if you can't, take pictures of the part of the home that the vehicle is blocking.
